I am a poet and middle school teacher of a gifted and talented interdisciplinary class in NYC with a great deal of experience teaching a variety of subjects.

I was a philosophy major at Columbia and a master’s student at Harvard. I’ve worked as a National Park Ranger in Alaska, a high school Latin teacher, a professor of English and French pedagogy in Burkina Faso in the Peace Corps, a full-time parent of three kids for 15 years, and I’m thrilled to embark on new opportunities.
I believe that teachers are artists. We create insight and explanations. We perform. We inspire. We are charged with what is most crucial in our society.
I live in NYC. I love to work out, write, cook, have conversations at museums, and travel.
